 SAMPE
Technical Conference Well-Represented by CRG
CRG continued its support of the Midwest and
International SAMPE organizations in a wide variety of ways
at the recent International SAMPE Technical Conference ("From
Art to Science: Advancing Materials and Process Engineering")
held in Cincinnati, Ohio. CRG was one of many vendors supporting
the conference through a presence in the exhibition hall,
featuring work in materials and systems enabling advances
in morphing and propulsion technology.
As part of the technical conference, CRG Technology
Leader Greg Karst presented his work on shape memory polymer-based
nanocomposites as part of a morphing materials session. Ernie
Havens, VP of Business Development, and Tat Tong, Chief Scientist,
also contributed to the technical sessions by presenting a
tutorial on morphing systems. Completing CRG's contribution
to the technical program was Ernie Havens' participation in
a expert panel on morphing materials, featuring shape memory
polymers.
 Many
CRG volunteers monitored sessions or assisted in registration.
Karst and Ben Dietsch, Division Manager, served on the ISTC
planning committee as transportation chair and banquet chair,
respectively, starting in early 2006 to help plan the event.
CRG's broad participation in this event is part of the company's
commitment to supporting SAMPE as an organization of value
in the growing materials and composites research and development
industry. CRG has been participating in SAMPE events since
1999. (11-5-2007)
