Researchers Publish Article on Innovative Rotomolding Manufacturing
Technique
The November/December 2006 issue
of the SAMPE Journal published a technical paper entitled,
"Innovative Manufacturing for Solid Rocket Motors,"
submitted by researchers Jaime Stahl, Emil Pora, and Patrick
Freeman. The article highlights new rotomolding mandrel techniques
for fabricating composite SRMs. The process results in low-cost,
pre-insulated leave-in mandrels and will eliminate more than
50% of the manufacturing labor. (11-30-2006)
