CRG Joins EMTEC Team of
Ohio Companies in Trade Mission to Japan
The Edison Materials Technology Center
(EMTEC)of Dayton, Ohio, recently returned from leading six
Ohio technology companies on a Japan- funded trade mission
with the objective of creating increased global business for
Ohio companies. EMTEC was selected to coordinate and lead
this mission because of their high level of experience in
helping technology businesses grow. The bjectives for this
trade mission were to help these Ohio companies initiate or
increase their exports sales, promote foreign company attraction
to Ohio, and facilitate technology exchange to benefit the
participating companies.
The key outcome of the mission provides
business opportunities to Ohio companies such as increased
trade, investment, technology exchange, new product development,
and new markets which all contribute to the ongoing business
growth for these Ohio companies. After matching technologies
of interest identified by the Saitama group, CRG was invited
to participate.
All of the participating Ohio companies were
successful in meeting with Japanese companies that are potential
partners for sharing technologies. Patrick Hood, President
of CRG, which is a member of EMTEC, stated:
“In planning for this trade mission,
I was expecting to gain an understanding of the Japanese
culture, business practices and the potential for future
business. This trade mission turned out to be so much more.
Since the mission, I have already been in contact with five
different companies that I met with while in Japan and we
are working out the details of supplying each other our
goods and services.”
Ohio companies, through their new partnerships,
will have access to the Japanese market as well as other world
markets. (3-24-2006) Read
