Wins 2003 Emerging Technology Award
Cornerstone Research Group was awarded a 2003 Ohio Department
of Development (ODOD) Emerging Technology Award. The award
was one of  eight
presented October 21, 2003, at the Air Force Museum in Dayton
by Governor Bob Taft and Bruce Johnson, Director of ODOD.
Presented annually by the Ohio Edison Program, the Emerging
Technology Awards recognize the innovations and significant
accomplishments of small technology-oriented companies in
Ohio.
This distinctive award honors companies
making valuable progress in the advancement of current technologies
or are on the cutting edge in pursuing new and emerging technologies.
The award "honors a company
that has utilized technology to impact not only its own operation,
but also the quality of life in its community, in the state
of Ohio and around the world."
CRG is at the forefront of developing technology
in the field of materials science, specifically for this award
in the area of shape memory polymers, shape memory composites,
and shape memory structural foams.
