 Rubbn'Repair
Sponsors 1st Annual Tennessee Stampede Competition
The O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series
will embark on their first ever visit to the Volunteer
State July 18 and 19, and RubbnRepair.com has jumped
on board for sponsorship. The overall champion of the
2-day annual event will be crowned the Tennessee Stampede
Champion presented by RubbnRepair.com.
The event, which already has seen future
interest from many other tracks and supporters, will
celebrate its first event at the West Tennessee Motor
Speedway on July 18 and then round out the weekend at
the popular Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee
on July 19.
Rubbn'Repair, originally developed by
CRG under a NASA program, is a formable adhesive patch
that mends holes and damage to bumpers, fenders, body
panels, hoods and more. Representatives for the product
will be hand on for demonstrations and to introduce
themselves to the drivers. Read
more about it. (7-16-2008)
HALO™
Micro Air Vehicle Exhibited at AUVSI
In June, CRG exhibited the Hovering Autonomous
Low-profile Observer (HALO) micro air vehicle (MAV) at the
AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America trade show in San Diego,
California. The Tuesday edition of the Show News featured
the HALO on page 5. The system is targeted for intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance, law enforcement, border patrol
and other markets.
Whether a mission calls for hand-launching
by a field operator or deployment from a larger unmanned system,
the HALO MAV provides access and reconnaissance in areas too
dangerous or difficult for humans or larger vehicles, such
as tunnels, caves, buildings or cluttered urban environments.
The ducted-fan design provides vertical takeoff and landing
and hovering capabilities and the system can operate autonomously
or by remote control. The HALO vehicle is the first aerospace
system to be sold commercially by CRG. Read
more about the MAV. (6-12-2008)
 CRG
Exhibits at SERI in Europe
As part of the company's continuing involvement
in the global R&D community, CRG exhibited for the
first time at SERI, the European Research and Innovation
Exhibition in June. The majority of attendees at this
show come to evaluate technological trends, to evaluate
companies for outsourcing R&D, and to match needs
with capabilities. CRG presented its business model
very successfully and made many new international contacts
for possible future strategic alliances in research
and development and commercialization of technology.
Europe is also an excellent venue for expanding research
into "green" technologies and environmentally
friendly technological solutions. (6-10-2008)
