Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA)
More about this capability

Dynamic mechanical analysis measures the stiffness modulus and damping (energy dissipation) properties of materials as the materials are deformed under periodic stress. Such measurements provide quantitative and qualitative information about the performance of the materials. DMA can be used to evaluate a wide variety of material types (elastomers, thermoplastics, viscous thermosetting liquids, composites, coatings & adhesives, ceramics, metals). It is particularly useful for evaluating polymeric materials.

DSC PhotoDifferential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
More about this capability

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measures time, temperature, heat flow, and by integration of the heat flow, enthalpy. The most common DSC application is the precise measurement of transition temperature and evaluation of state of cure for resin.

Optical Scanning Profilometry (OSP)
More about this capability

The MicroXAM surface mapping microscope (ADE Phase-Shift) is a non-contact, three-dimensional profilometer. The capabilities of the microscope include measurements of roughness, finish and texture of surfaces ranging from highly-polished optics and wafers to rough surfaces, such as rolled metals, plastics, and ceramics. In addition, the step-height feature allows imprinted or elevated surfaces to be mapped, such as micromachined parts or imprinted text. We can quantitatively characterize surface features at subnanometer resolutions.

Interferometry
More about this capability

The AK100 4" interferometer provides non-contact measurement of flat and spherical surfaces, and transmitted wavefront measurement of optical components and assemblies. Measurements can be made using simple visual fringe inspection, static fringe analysis, and phase-modulated interferogram analysis.

Dilatometry
More about this capability

The UNITHERM™ 1091 multi-sample dilatometer is a fully computerized dilatometer system designed to measure dimensional changes of a specimen brought about by changes in its thermal environment.

Customized Filament Winding
More about this capability

CRG combines advanced materials and process technology with its 4-axis filament winder to produce complex composite structures with nearly any configuration. We can fulfill prototyping needs using a variety of fibers and resins. Prototype examples include symmetrical structures such as bottles, helixes, circular wraps, and structures complexsuch as S-curves or structures with complex geometries that normally would preclude easy removal of the mandrel.

Continuous Industrial Mixing
More about this capability

CRG is a beta-site for a Readco Continuous Mixer. CRG combines advanced materials and process technology with the Readco Continuous Mixer to produce a homogeneous product by mixing one or more dry materials with one or more liquid materials on a continuous basis.
