Project-Based Research & Development
Project-based programs are targeted efforts dealing
with fixed-term, short-term, or limited-scope development needs.
CRG can address a wide range of needs under a project-based program,
such as product development, process improvements, materials development
or refinement, and technology assessment. Programs under the project
system will be tailored to produce value-added results and allow
customers the flexibility and control to meet their budget and
time constraints.
Planning Phase:
- Assess business and technology needs.
- Create technical strategy and proposal in
line with customer's corporate objectives and business constraints.
- Build a technical, business, and legal team
to execute the authorized R&D projects.
R&D Phase:
- Perform the R&D services to meet the
objectives of the proposed projects.
- Provide regular status reports, reviews,
and teleconferences to customer-designated points of contact.
(Report frequency depends on the program’s level of
effort and typically ranges from weekly to monthly.)
- CRG will prepare reports and briefings that cover the
progress on the
entire program and summarize the progress on each
project.
- Each project briefing will cover objectives, approach, technical
results,
milestone status, updated business analysis, and an updated
project
plan with revised (if necessary) milestones.
- Strategic opportunities (e.g. Federal Request for Proposal
or a
technological breakthrough) will be immediately communicated
to
the customer, and a decision will be made jointly
within one week
of identifying the opportunity so a timely course
of action can be taken.
Benefits:
- Target government initiatives to support
objectives without having to execute government contracts.
- Gain access to a broad range of expertise.
- Access commercialized technology developed
under government-funded research programs.
- Obtain real results from a proven R&D
company.
- Receive ongoing contractual accountability
to corporate management from R&D staff.
- Leverage a multimillion dollar government
contract base for your company's products and needs.
- Separate strategic R&D activities from
distractions and high costs of performing R&D in-house.
- Incorporate new ideas and technologies from
other technical and business fields.
